Moving your account to us takes just seven working days. We offer a simple and reliable service with a dedicated team who will manage the switching process. Our aim is to give you products and services that match the growth ambitions of your business.

You can choose between two ways to switch your account to us: the Current Account Switch Service or the Transfer of Payment Arrangement Service. More details of both are outlined below.

We will:

  • arrange for your old bank to close your previous account and transfer any credit balance to your new Lloyds Bank account
  • transfer all incoming and outgoing payments within the seven working day guarantee
  • redirect all payments to and from your old account to your new account within a 13-month period


If anything goes wrong with the switch, as soon as we are told we will refund any interest or charges you have incurred on your old or new account as a result of a delay caused by us. This does not cover changes or interest resulting from required tasks you or your old bank do not complete.

You can:

  • specify the payments you would like us to transfer
  • ask us to transfer any outstanding credit and/or debit balance from your old account
  • choose whether or not you’d like us to arrange for your old bank to close your previous account.

When you switch, you’ll have the choice of whichever Monthly PricePlan is most suitable for your business. When your free banking period ends, you’ll automatically be placed on your chosen Monthly PricePlan, which gives you a set number of transactions each month for a fixed fee. You will also have the option of moving to one of our alternative tariffs if you think they are more appropriate for your business.

To apply for a Business Account for Switchers, you should:

  • require the account for business use
  • be a sole trader, partner or director
  • be aged 18 or over.
