What is Sentinel® Card Protection?

Sentinel® Card Protection is administered by Affinion International Limited and the insured benefits are underwritten by AmTrust Europe Limited. Sentinel® Card Protection provides cover against accidental loss or theft of your handbag, wallet, purse and/or briefcase and personal money lost or stolen with cards, and communication costs.

Features of Sentinel® Card Protection

With Sentinel® Card Protection you get:

  • card registration,
  • a 24-hour helpline for reporting the loss of cards and ordering replacements,
  • emergency cash advances (subject to status and repayable within 30 days of receipt)
    • up to £1,000 emergency cash at home and abroad (£100 minimum in the UK)
    • up to £3,000 to replace tickets (for policyholder and eligible household members)
    • up to £3,000 to pay hotel bills
    • up to £750 transport charges,
  • lost cash cover up to £200 per policy and in total for all incidents in a 12-month period,
  • security-protected key and luggage tags, linked to Sentinel®’s secure address registration service to get lost items safely back to you,
  • communications costs up to £100 per incident and in total for all incidents in any 12-month period,
  • handbag, wallet, purse and briefcase cover up to £200 per policy in any 12-month period, although contents is not included (see terms and conditions within your relevant policy documents).

Keep in mind this insurance only applies to residents of the UK and will be automatically cancelled if you move permanently outside of the UK.

How do I get Sentinel® Card Protection?

Sentinel® Card Protection is just one of the services we provide when you open an Added Value Account with us. If you have a Select, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Premier account with us, you will automatically have Sentinel® Card Protection. Your Sentinel® Card Protection is automatically activated, but we recommend that you register your card details.

If you’re a Classic Account holder you can apply to upgrade online to one of our Added Value Accounts.

If you are a Lloyds Bank Added Value account holder your Sentinel® Card Protection is automatically active. We recommend that you register your cards by phone or online, however. Simply call the relevant number below:
