    You can only open this account online if you’re an existing current account holder. If you don’t have a Lloyds Bank current account you can apply for Silver in-branch or over the phone.

  • Monthly fee

    The Silver Account has a monthly fee of £9.95.

    Travel insurance, breakdown cover, mobile phone insurance, and Sentinel® Card Protection comes with individual terms and conditions and limitations.

  • Planned Overdraft

    All Planned Overdraft applications are subject to approval after our assessment of your circumstances.

AXA European and UK travel insurance

  • European travel insurance up to 65 years of age for you and your partner, for up to 45 days per trip.
  • There is no limit on the number of trips each year.
  • Comprehensive cover, including: emergency medical cover (up to £10,000,000), Cancellation or Curtailment cover (up to £5,000), Personal accident cover (up to £100,000 if caused by an accident involving public transport on which you were travelling) and Baggage cover (up to £2,500).
  • A wide range of upgrade options, including winter sports and family cover.
  • You can manage online your cover more easily or make a claim at a time that suits you, with Lloyds Bank travel insurance.

Keep in mind the cover is provided only if you will be living in the United Kingdom for at least six months during each 12 month period.

Claims and assistance

If you’re abroad and you need assistance, you can call our 24-hour assistance helpline on +44 1633 815 819.

If you need to make a claim, all you need to do is call Silver Membership Services on 0345 603 1839 or log on to the Lloyds Bank travel insurance website.

AA Breakdown Cover

  • Roadside Assistance: assistance at the roadside if you’ve broken down more than a quarter of a mile from home. If your vehicle can’t be fixed at the roadside, you’ll be take to the AA’s choice of relevant local repairer or local destination of your choice, provided it is no further.
  • Accident Management: the AA assists you in arranging the repair, recovery and claim processing for vehicles following an accident or vandalism where you’re claiming under your motor insurance.

Assistance and emergencies

If you break down on the road, call the AA directly on 0800 316 0096, or Silver Membership Services on 0345 603 1839. For Accident Management support, call 0800 374 347.

Mobile phone insurance

Your insurance, administered by Lifestyle Services Group Limited (LSG) and underwritten by Assurant General Insurance Limited, covers one phone for sole Silver Account holders, while joint account holders can insure one phone for each named customer on the account.

  • It covers phones worldwide up to a maximum individual value of £2,000, including VAT.
  • It covers the cost of replacing the phone in the event of loss or theft or the cost of repairing (or replacing where the phone cannot be repaired).
  • It covers the cost of unauthorised network charges (calls, data, etc.) made up to £1,500 for contract phones, and up to £300 for prepay phones.

Keep in mind unauthorised network charges are only covered in the event of a successful loss/theft claim.

Keep in mind you’ll need to pay a contribution of £100 for Apple iPhones and £50 for all other handsets each time you make a successful claim (this is the excess).

Silver Account customers automatically receive mobile phone insurance. However it’s recommended that you register your phone details with us as it may help simplify the process for any claims you might have to make in the future. Call Silver Membership Services on 0345 603 1839 or register online to provide your mobile phone details.

Sentinel® Card Protection

Sentinel® Card Protection is administered by Affinion International Limited and the insured benefits are underwritten by AmTrust Europe Limited. Sentinel® Card Protection provides cover against accidental loss or theft of your handbag, wallet, purse and/or briefcase and personal money lost or stolen with cards, and communication costs.

Keep in mind this insurance only applies to residents of the UK and will be automatically cancelled if you move permanently outside of the UK.

  • You can cancel and order replacement cards with just one call to 0345 603 1839.
  • If your money is lost or stolen, you can claim up to £200 to replace your missing cash. We’ll also give you up to £200 to replace the missing handbag, wallet, purse and/or briefcase your cards were in.
  • If your cards go missing while you’re away from home and you find yourself with no way to make a payment, we can organise organise cash advances for you. Cash advances are subject to status and repayable within 30 days of receipt. Terms and conditions apply.
