  • Monthly fee

    The Club Lloyds Platinum monthly account fee comprises of:

    • Platinum Account monthly account fee of £17 per month

     Plus

    • Club Lloyds monthly account fee is Free or £3 per month.

    The £3 fee is waived for each month you pay in at least £1,500 into your account.  If in any month you don't pay in this amount, you will need to pay the £3 monthly account fee.
    Maximum combined monthly account fee of £20 per month.

  • Other accounts

    There are other accounts available to you that provide banking facilities without additional benefits, and which do not have a monthly account fee

  • Conditions and exclusions

    Travel insurance, breakdown cover, mobile phone insurance, and Card Loss Assistance comes with individual terms and conditions and limitations.

  • Variable credit interest

  • Planned Overdraft

    All Planned Overdraft applications are subject to approval after our assessment of your circumstances.

Representative example:
If you use a Planned Overdraft of £1,200 on your Club Lloyds Platinum Account, then we’ll charge you a daily overdraft fee of £1.28. For Club Lloyds Platinum accounts, the daily overdraft fee on the first £300 is 0p.

 

Platinum Added Value benefits in full

AXA worldwide travel insurance

  • AXA Worldwide travel insurance including Winter Sports for you and your family (if eligible), for up to 45 consecutive days per trip (for Winter Sports maximum 31 days cover in any calendar year).
  • There is no limit on the number of trips each year.
  • Covers UK leisure travel when 2 or more consecutive nights accommodation is booked.
  • All cover ceases on the account holders 80th birthday - so long as the account holder is under 80 their spouse, partner or civil partner will also be covered until they reach 80. Children must be under 18 or under 24 if in full time education and must travel with the account holder, spouse partner or civil partner or a responsible adult.
  • Your cover is comprehensive, and includes:
    • Emergency medical cover (up to £10,000,000).
    • Cancellation or curtailment cover (up to £5,000).
    • Personal accident cover (up to £30,000).
    • Baggage cover (up to £2,500 (valuables up to £500 in total)).
    • Travel disruption cover (up to £5,000).

£40 excess may apply.

Keep in mind the cover is provided whilst you are a United Kingdom resident and are registered with a medical practitioner in the United Kingdom.

AA Breakdown Cover

  • Roadside Assistance: assistance at the roadside if you’ve broken down more than a quarter of a mile from home. If your vehicle can’t be fixed at the roadside, you’ll be taken to the AA’s choice of relevant local repairer or local destination of your choice, provided it is no further.
  • Home Start: you get assistance if your vehicle doesn’t start and is within a quarter of a mile of your home address.
  • Relay: you get transport for you, your vehicle and up to seven passengers to your home or any other (single) UK destination, if the AA can’t arrange a prompt local repair.
  • Accident Management: the AA assists you in arranging the repair, recovery and claim processing for vehicles following an accident or vandalism where you’re claiming under your motor insurance.

Mobile phone insurance

Your insurance, administered by Lifestyle Services Group Limited (LSG) and underwritten by Assurant General Insurance Limited, covers one phone for sole Platinum Account holders, and two phones for joint accounts.

  • It covers phones worldwide up to a maximum individual value of £2,000, including VAT.
  • It covers the cost of replacing the phone in the event of loss or theft, or the cost of repairing (or replacing where the phone cannot be repaired).
  • It covers the cost of unauthorised network charges (calls, data, etc.) from the point your mobile phone is lost or stolen and for up to 24 hours after discovery of the loss or theft made up to £1,500 including VAT for contract phones, and up to £450 including VAT for prepay phones.

Keep in mind unauthorised network charges are only covered in the event of a successful loss/theft claim.

Keep in mind you'll need to pay a contribution of £100 for Apple iPhones and £50 for all other handsets each time you make a successful claim (this is the excess).

Platinum Account customers automatically receive mobile phone insurance. However it’s recommended that you register your phone details with us as it may help simplify the process for any claims you might have to make in the future. Card Loss Assistance

Card Loss Assistance is provided by Citymain Administrators Ltd. Registered in England and Wales company number 03979666. Registered office: Enterprise House, Isambard Brunel Road, Portsmouth, PO1 2RX.

Keep in mind no insurance cover is included with this service which means it does not provide any cover for any financial loss incurred due to the loss or theft of cards.

  • With one call day or night to 0345 850 5300, Citymain can request card issuers cancel all financial cards and issue replacements.
  • You can register the cards for your family if they live with you.
  • You can also securely register your passport and driving licence numbers with Citymain for easy access should you lose them.
  • Please note contact in relation to this service can only be made by the account holder.

Credit interest

2 %AER (1.98% gross) variable

2% AER variable credit interest on your entire balance from £1 to £5,000

Earn variable credit interest on balances between £1 and £5,000 when you pay at least two separate Direct Debits from your Club Lloyds current account each calendar month.

You will still need to pay at least two different Direct Debits from your Club Lloyds current account each calendar month, and no credit interest is payable on the amount of any balance over £5,000.

Lifestyle benefits

Club Lloyds interest rates are variable and apply to your whole balance.

Balances between AER Close Annual Equivalent Rate AER means Annual Equivalent Rate. This illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded each year and allows you to easily compare different offers. Gross p.a. Close Gross Rate Gross rate means that we will not deduct tax automatically from your interest. You are responsible for paying any tax due to HM Revenue and Customs.

Interest is calculated daily, and paid monthly, but will not be paid in any month you do not have two separate Direct Debits paid from your account, or on amounts over £5,000.

Please note interest paid before 6th April 2016 will have been paid net (unless you registered the account with us to receive gross interest) .  Net is the rate of interest payable after allowing for the deduction of income tax at the rate specified by law (currently 20%).

From 6th April 2016 interest is paid Gross, meaning we will not deduct tax on your behalf. Dependant on your personal circumstances, tax may be due on your interest and it is your responsibility to disclose and pay any tax due directly to HMRC.

    The switching begins
    We make contact with your old bank to arrange the switch.

    We’ll let you know your old bank has received your request. We then start transferring your payments to your new Lloyds Bank account.

    It’ll take a couple of days to switch over your payment arrangements, and make sure your Lloyds Bank account is ready to go for the switch date.
  • Working day 6
    If you’re clearing a debit balance at your old account, you’ll need to make sure there are enough funds in your Lloyds Bank account to cover the transfer.

We have designed the Current Account Switch Service to let you switch your current account from one bank or building society to another in a simple, reliable and stress-free way. It will only take seven working days. As your new current-account provider we offer the following guarantee.

  • The service is free to use and you can choose and agree your switch date with us.
  • We will take care of moving all your payments going out (for example, your Direct Debits and standing orders) and those coming in (for example, your salary).
  • If you have money in your old account, we will transfer it to your new account on your switch date.
  • We will arrange for payments accidentally made to your old account to be automatically redirected to your new account. We will also contact the sender and give them your new account details.
  • If there are any issues in making the switch, we will contact you before your switch date.
