Depending on the current account you have, we offer a range of services to help you manage your money.

OverdraftsSee Overdrafts

An overdraft allows you to borrow up to an agreed Planned Overdraft limit when there is no money left in your account. It’s an option for short-term borrowing, for example covering you until payday.

If you do not have a Planned Overdraft set up, or you go over your Planned limit, we will treat this as a request for an Unplanned Overdraft.

ControlFind out about control

  • Take control of your spending by stopping your Club Lloyds current account or Classic Account from incurring Unplanned Overdraft fees and charges and keeping a limit on your spending
  • It's ideal if you often go over your overdraft limit and incur unexpected charges for Unplanned borrowing
  • When there's money or credit available in your Classic or Club Lloyds current account, transactions will go through as normal; however if you don't have enough funds Control will stop direct debits, standing orders, and the majority of card transactions - and you won't pay the usual Returned Item Fee
  • You can still apply for a Planned Overdraft limit, the first £25 of which is interest and fee free with the Classic Account or up to £100 in the case of a Club Lloyds current account - all Overdraft limits are subject to application and approval
  • £10 per month

How do I register for Control?

Existing customer
To add Control to your Classic Account or Club Lloyds current account simply visit your nearest branch or call us on 0845 3 000 000 (Open Mon – Fri 8am  - 8pm, Sat & Sun 9am – 5pm).

New to Lloyds Bank?
To open a Classic Account with Control simply visit your nearest branch or call us on 0800 085 9174

Save the Change® Find out about Save the Change

Save the Change® is an easy way to save for the things you want. Every time you make a payment with your Visa debit card, the amount you spend will be rounded up to the nearest pound and the difference will be transferred into an eligible Lloyds Bank savings account.

How it works

  • You can use your own savings account or nominate a family member’s savings account
  • You can turn Save the Change® on and off whenever you like through Internet Banking
  • We’ll only make Save the Change® transfers when your current account is in credit
  • Save the Change® is available for most Lloyds Bank savings accounts except Monthly Saver, Term Deposits, Child Trust Fund, Tracker Bond, eBond and ISA accounts
