What is Home Options Insurance?

Lloyds Bank Home Options is arranged and administered by Lloyds Bank Insurance Services Limited. With Home Options Insurance you can save time by buying your home insurance online. Protect the things you love by choosing buildings insurance, contents insurance, or both.

What is buildings insurance?

Generally, buildings insurance covers the structure of your home and its fixtures and fittings (fitted bathrooms, for example) if they are damaged by events like flood, fire and extreme weather.

What is contents insurance?

Contents insurance generally covers things you’d usually pack up and put in a removal van if you moved home if they are stolen or damaged by events like flood, fire and extreme weather.

As well as the usual things covered like theft, fire, flood and earthquakes, our buildings insurance gives you a range of benefits as standard. These include:

  • alternative accommodation costs (for any one event we’ll pay a maximum 20% of the building limit shown in your policy schedule)
  • agreed architects’ and surveyors’ fees that are necessary if the building is damaged by any insured event and
  • the cost of damage caused by the escape of water from any domestic appliance or any fixed domestic water installation.
