In your community

With our presence on almost every high street in the England and Wales, Lloyds Bank is at the heart of the communities we serve. And supporting those communities is central to our aim of helping Britain prosper.

Our Community Fund aims to help local people make a positive difference in the hearts of communities. In 2013 1,329 good causes in England, Wales and the Isle of Man benefitted from a Community Fund award, as voted for by more than 2.3 million of our customers, colleagues and the wider public.

In a pioneering initiative, our social enterprise programme will see us support people who have the vision to make a difference to their communities. In partnership with the School for Social Entrepreneurs we will help 1,300 social enterprises start or scale-up by 2017.

Our Local Heroes programme has so far funded and supported over 1,100 talented emerging athletes on their journey to success. And we’re very proud that 46 of them competed in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games winning five medals in total, with Kat Copeland winning Gold in the women’s lightweight double sculls.

In 2013, for the fourth year running, we partnered with the Cardiff Half Marathon, Wales’ biggest road race and mass participation event. More than 19,000 competitors took part and there was a variety of family friendly entertainment for runners and spectators to enjoy.

The Lloyds Bank Foundation are registered charities and independent from Lloyds Banking Group. They provide vital support to local, regional and national charities across England and Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
