Is Private Banking right for me

We offer a wide range of integrated Private Banking and investment services which can be selected to fit your circumstances. To be eligible, you need to have at least £250,000 in savings and investments.

Fees and charges

The level and amount of fees and charges that will apply will depend on what your needs are. Our products and services have individual fees, charges, terms and conditions which your Private Banking and Advice Manager will discuss with you.

Before any services or products are provided to you we will explain what advice we can give and what products and services this covers, and any advice or product charges that apply and agree these with you.

Initial Meeting

There are no charges for the initial meeting to discuss your individual circumstances and objectives and provide you with information in relation to our range of services and products. There is no obligation to take any of our services or products.

What our advice will cost you

Following the initial meeting, if you proceed with our advised services or products, fees may become payable.

Your Private Banking and Advice Manager will discuss any fees and charges which are relevant to you at the initial meeting so you can decide whether or not you wish to proceed.

There are different types of fees and charges which could arise depending on your particular circumstances and needs.  Examples include:

  • Retirement Structuring fees – this fee arises where we prepare a financial report which considers an income strategy for you in retirement which is based on your circumstances and needs.
  • Advice fee – where you choose to implement our advice recommendations an advice fee may become payable.  The level of the Advice fee depends on the investment amount and whether it is a lump sum or regular premium investment.
  • Commission – for Life Insurance products there will be a commission payment made to us by the product provider.  If this is relevant to you, we will provide you with an individual quotation which tells you the maximum commission payable.
  • Product charges – these may apply to any products you proceed with.  Product charges pay for the product provider’s own costs and are taken directly from the product recommended by way of an ongoing annual management charge.

Other types of fees and charges which are not set out above may be relevant for you depending on your particular needs and chosen products.  The types of fees and charges may also change from time to time, so your Private Banking and Advice Manager will take time to explain those which are relevant and will apply to you.
