Going abroad? You can use your Visa debit card to pay for things and to withdraw cash at ATMs wherever you see the Visa* symbol – just the same as you do at home.
|Cash withdrawals*:||Debit cards: A non-sterling cash fee of 1.5% of the value of the withdrawal. The minimum charge for each transaction is £2.00 and the maximum charge is £4.50.
Cashpoint® cards: A non-sterling cash fee of 1.5% of the value of the withdrawal, with a minimum charge of £1.50. There is no maximum transaction fee.

||A £1 non-sterling purchase fee is made for each transaction. This does not apply to Platinum debit card or Premier debit card holders.|
|Cash withdrawals and purchases:||The amount is converted to sterling on the day it is processed by Visa, using the Visa payment scheme exchange rate. There’s also a non-sterling transaction fee of 2.99%.|
You can use your Visa debit card while you’re abroad in the same way you do at home. Whether you’re paying for a hotel, a meal, or buying petrol from a garage or a supermarket,* you’ll have the same security and peace of mind.
If you need more cash while you’re abroad you can use your debit card to withdraw money from an ATM* or over the counter at any bank displaying the Visa symbol. You can withdraw money up to your limit in sterling, as long as you have the cleared funds available in your account.
