  4. Statement terms explained

    We're introducing improvements to your statements which will mean that you’ll see the following fees shown on your statement separately.

    Statement terms Description
    Non-sterling transaction fee This is a fee we charge for the conversion of currency. This is a percentage value of the converted sterling amount.
    Non-sterling purchase fee This is a fee we charge per transaction when you make a purchase (not a cash withdrawal or purchase of foreign currency or travellers cheques). This fee is applicable only to debit card transactions.
    Non-sterling cash fee This is a fee we charge for the withdrawal of cash abroad using your debit card.
    Foreign cash fee This is a fee we charge if you choose to complete your debit card cash withdrawal using the ATM provider’s conversion rate to sterling. The ATM provider may make a separate charge for the conversion which will be included in the exchange rate offered to you.
    Cash fee This is a fee we charge for the withdrawal of cash on a credit card whether in the UK or abroad.
