More about this service

Why are we closing bank branches?

We now live in a digital world which means the way customers shop, use their money, buy products and access services has changed.

We need to adapt our branch network to reflect this change in behaviour so we may sometimes need to close a branch. It’s usually when customer visits have dropped, and there is an alternative branch nearby.

All branch closures have followed an assessment process. They remain an important part of the service we offer, especially when it comes to providing people and businesses access to cash.

To find out more about how we’ve made the decision to close a particular branch, see our Branch Review or ask in branch for a copy.
