How we protect your business/organisation

We use leading security technology and fraud prevention techniques to protect you and your money online.

  • Secure log on - by registering you will create a secure link between your mobile device and your Online Banking profile. Each time you log in, the digits we’ll ask for from your memorable information will be different.
  • Automatic log off - you can set up how long your mobile device stays inactive before it logs you out of our app.
  • Fraud detection - we monitor your account(s) for any unusual activity.
  • Account suspension - we’ll temporarily disable your account(s) after a number of incorrect logon attempts, in case fraudsters are trying to guess your details.
  • Fraud guarantee - if you become a victim of fraud, we’ll refund your money as long as you’ve been careful. Make sure you’re aware of our Fraud Guarantee.

Help to protect yourself

While we work hard to protect you and your money, here are a few simple steps you can take to protect yourself.

  • Protecting privacy - never share your device or password and don’t keep your logon details on it or carry them with you.
  • Official apps - only download the app from Google Play and Apple App Stores worldwide, so you know it’s official.
  • Public places - keep your device with you at all times. Look out for others watching when you log on.
  • Device security - lock your device with a PIN or passcode, and always install the latest security updates.
  • SMS and email - messages from us will never ask for your security details, or link you to a page that does. Be suspicious of links and don’t reply. Learn more about staying safe online.

Our fraud guarantee

We’re committed to making the Business Mobile Banking app as secure as possible. Your information and privacy are protected by the latest technology and our online fraud guarantee.

We guarantee to refund your money in the unlikely event you experience fraud with our Online for Business service – as long as you’ve been careful, for example, by taking reasonable steps to keep your security information safe.

We don’t charge you for Mobile Banking but your mobile operator may charge you for certain services such as downloading or using the app, so please check with them. You will need a smartphone running iOS or Android. The app is not compatible with some older versions of the operating systems – check the App Store or Google Play for more details. Internet Banking registration required. Services may be affected by phone signal and functionality. Use of Mobile Banking is subject to our Business Internet Banking Terms and Conditions.

Calls may be monitored or recorded in case we need to check we have carried out your instructions correctly and to help improve our quality of service.

Eligible deposits with us are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). We are covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). Please note that due to FSCS and FOS eligibility criteria not all business customers will be covered.
