James Schofield

Managing Director, Global Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT)

James is a member of Global Corporate’s Leadership Team as Global Head of TMT and joined Lloyds Banking Group in 2006. His team is responsible for the coverage and strategy of Lloyds Bank’s high turnover TMT clients across the UK, Europe, Asia and the US.

Previously James was the Head of Global Corporates, Risk Management Solutions with his team responsible for the financial risk management needs of the Bank’s high turnover Corporate clients. Prior to joining Lloyds Bank, he worked for JPMorgan in both London and New York. During his time in London, he specialised within the TMT sector, working closely with clients to identify financial risk inherent across their business and structuring appropriate products to mitigate these risks.

He subsequently moved to the US with JPMorgan to work within Structured Products and Derivative Marketing, where he ran the Media coverage team as well as having responsibility for all Foreign Subsidiaries and Yankee issuance clients. In both roles, his mandate covered credit, FX, interest rate and tax derivatives.

James holds an MA (Honours) degree from St.Peter’s College, Oxford University.
