How the eligibility checker works

Step by step

  1. Answer a few questions and we’ll show you the credit limit you may be eligible for. 
  2. Using the details you give, we’ll complete a soft credit check. This gives us an overview of your financial history, which we use to assess your credit card eligibility.
  3. After that, browse the list of credit cards you’re able to apply for. There’s no obligation, but if you find a credit card offer you like, you can proceed with a full application.

Good to know

If you like one of the credit cards shown in your eligibility check results, and you’re happy with the estimated credit limit, you can go on to apply.

For your convenience, we’ll carry over the information you’ve already provided in the eligibility check. You’ll need to answer some further questions and accept the account terms and conditions.

Just be aware, if you submit a full credit application, at that point we’ll complete a hard credit check.  This will be noted on your credit file and may impact your credit score.

Who it's for

You can apply for a credit card if you:

  • are a UK resident aged 18 or over
  • have a regular income
  • don't have a history of bad credit, such as bankruptcy, Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) or County Court Judgments (CCJs)
  • haven't been declined for a Lloyds credit card in the last 30 days.

Information we'll need

To complete an eligibility check, you need to show:

  • address details for the last three years
  • your bank account number and sort code
  • your employment status and annual income
  • details about your regular financial commitments.
