Balance Transfers

  • Transfer a balance to your credit card from another credit card or store card, where you may be paying interest.
  • You can benefit from your promotional interest rate, for a set period, on balances transferred to your Lloyds Bank credit card. A transfer fee may apply.
  • You can transfer from any card that displays a Visa®, Mastercard® or Amex® logo excluding other Lloyds Bank credit cards, loan companies or bank accounts.
  • To keep your promotional rate, you’ll need to stay within your credit limit and make at least your minimum monthly payments on time. If you want to bring your balance down faster, you can pay more off at any time. Any balances left after the promotional period ends will go back to your standard interest rate.

Money Transfers

  • Transfer money from your credit card to any of your own UK current accounts.
  • You can benefit from your promotional interest rate, for a set period, on money transferred from your Lloyds Bank credit card. A transfer fee may apply.
  • A money transfer may be suitable for covering unplanned or one-off major expenses or purchases. Examples would be a broken boiler repair or home improvements.
  • To keep your promotional rate, you’ll need to stay within your credit limit and make at least your minimum monthly payments on time. If you want to bring your balance down faster, you can pay more off at any time. Any balances left after the promotional period ends will go back to your standard interest rate.

Anything you buy using funds from a money transfer won’t benefit from protection given by Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, see below for further details.

Important information:

  • you can decrease your credit limit at any time but you can't decrease your credit limit below the balance outstanding on your account
  • you must have at least six months payment history on your account before you can request a credit limit increase.

 

  • Minimum transfer amount is £100 and a transfer fee may apply
  • You should consider all your borrowing options to find whether a transfer is the most suitable one for you. To discuss other borrowing options call 0345 606 2172. (Lines open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
  • To benefit from paying no interest on purchases, you will need to pay off your monthly statement balance in full and on time each month (which will include any balance or money transferred), unless you have a 0% promotional rate for your purchases
  • Any payments you make will firstly pay off your transactions with the highest interest rate charge on, followed by the next highest, and so on
  • The total amount you’ll be able to transfer will need to be less than your available credit limit. This is to allow for any transfer fee and for any other fees, charges or transactions which haven’t yet reached your account
  • Once we receive your payment instruction and your transfer has been approved it should reach your account by the next working day. If we need to carry out any additional security checks we’ll contact you by phone or SMS to inform you
  • If you have recently swapped your credit card and this offer has been received as a promotion for your old card, you will not be able to apply for this offer
  • Your Lloyds Bank credit card terms and conditions won't change. Any terms and conditions that refer to balance transfers will also apply to money transfers. These offers are subject to status.

For Balance Transfers:

  • You’ll need to continue making payments to your other card(s) as usual until the transfer shows on that card’s statement.

For Money Transfers:

  • Section 75 Purchase Protection does not apply on Money Transfers - Anything you buy using funds from a money transfer won’t benefit from the protection given by Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 – unlike some credit card purchases
  • We may ask you the purpose of your money transfer request and we may decline the transfer where, based on what you tell us, we do not consider your need to be suitable. We will tell you the reason for the decline at the time
  • A money transfer can only be made to a UK current account held in your name and address, which must match the registered details of your credit card.


Balance Transfers

You'll collect Avios on your balance transfers. Once completed, your Avios will appear on your credit card statement. Please refer to your reward terms and conditions for further information.

Money Transfers

You will not be awarded Avios for money transferred into your current account.

Section 75 of The Consumer Credit Act 1974 gives credit card customers legal rights if they’ve paid for goods or services using their credit card. It applies when the total price of the goods or services is more than £100 and up to a maximum of £30,000 and all or part of the purchase price was made using a credit card.

If you’ve bought something using your credit card, the credit card issuer and the seller may be equally liable for compensating you if things go wrong. For example if there's a breach of contract or misrepresentation by the seller against you, you may be able to successfully claim a refund through us.
