Take a closer look at your current credit card; you’ll soon see the benefits

If you'd like a credit card that works better for you, take another look at your current one. It comes with all kinds of features you may never have known about.

Contactless makes paying effortless
Using a contactless credit card is a faster way to pay for everyday essentials, because it lets you make payments of up to £30 with no need to enter your PIN.

To get your contactless card up and running, you’ll only need to enter your PIN the first time you use your card to make a purchase. After that, whenever you’re paying for something in a shop, restaurant or business that accepts contactless payments, you’ll just need to hold your card close to their contactless reader. For added security, every now and again you might be asked to enter your PIN for transactions under £30. This is likely to happen if you make several contactless transactions in a row.

If you have the contactless symbol on the front of your credit card, you can start paying using this simpler, smoother way right now. If you don’t see the symbol, you can upgrade to a contactless card today. Pop into your nearest Lloyds Bank branch or give us a call on 0345 606 2172 or +44 1702 278 272 from outside the UK. Alternatively, you can log on to Internet Banking and follow the steps to replace your card. When you order a replacement card, your new card will be automatically upgraded to contactless.

Your purchases are protected
Purchase Protection is designed to give you piece of mind. That’s because you’re protected by law for anything you buy over £100 up to a maximum of £30,000 using your credit card, whether it’s to pay the full amount or part of it.

Here’s how it works. If you've used your card to buy goods or services and you don’t think they’re as they should be, you may be able to claim a refund through our disputes process or make a claim under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

Make your PIN more memorable
Paying with your credit card, either at home or abroad, you’ll need to use your PIN. You can choose your own four digit PIN number, which you’ll be less likely to forget. Whether it’s your child’s birthday or the year your team last won the cup.

You can change your PIN at any Lloyds Bank cash machine and at most UK cash machines. Just type in your existing PIN, select PIN services, then follow the on-screen instructions.
