    It includes:

    Bupa Family GP and Wellbeing subscription FAQs

  • Lloyds Premier customers can earn 1% cashback on eligible debit card spend, up to a maximum value of £10 per calendar month*.  

    For example, a customer spending £850 in eligible transactions in January would earn £8.50 in cashback for that month, paid by the end of February. 

    Eligibility

    To qualify for cashback, you must:   

    • be aged 18 or over
    • be a UK resident (and your address on our records must be in the UK)
    • have your Lloyds Premier account open for the whole month.

    How does it work?

    • Cashback can be earned as soon as you start using your Lloyds Premier debit card.  
    • Cashback usually will be paid into your open Lloyds Premier account by the end of the following month. 
    • The cashback payment will appear as “Premier cashback” on your statement. 
    • Cashback earned can only be paid into your Lloyds Premier current account. 

    What type of debit card purchases are eligible towards cashback?  

    • Cashback can only be earned on transactions processed on your Lloyds Premier debit card within the applicable month.  14 days will be allowed for transactions to clear. Transactions which have not cleared after 14 days may not be counted. 
    • Transactions can be made online or in person, including payments using your Lloyds Premier debit card through Apple Pay, Google Pay or similar digital payment wallets.    
    • If you use your debit card outside of the UK for an eligible transaction, we'll work out cashback on the amount after converting into pounds Sterling. Visa will convert the amount into pounds the day the transaction is processed using their exchange rate.  
    • If you cancel a transaction, receive a refund or if any of the debit card payments are identified as likely to be fraudulent, then those transactions may not be counted.  
    • You must make sure you have enough money in your account to cover the transactions. If a transaction is declined by us, it will not count towards cashback. 

    What debit card transactions are excluded from this offer?  

    • Cash withdrawals.
    • Direct debits.
    • Bank transfers made with or without your debit card.
    • Debt repayments (e.g. credit card or loan repayments).
    • Transactions classified as gambling.
    • Financial services transactions (e.g. money transmission. orders, purchases of foreign currency or travellers cheques, purchases of financial services such as insurance or investments).
    • Cryptocurrency.

    Other points to be aware of:

    • Any cashback earned will be rounded to the nearest penny. 
    • If you tell us that your Visa debit card is lost or stolen during the offer period, some transactions may be cancelled and will not count towards cashback. Transactions made using one Visa debit card cannot be combined with transactions made using a replacement Visa debit card. This includes if your card is replaced because it expired. 
    • If your Lloyds Premier account is closed before any earned cashback is paid, we’ll try to credit this to another current account or savings account held in your sole or joint name. The statement description may vary if this happens.
    • If we’re unable to locate a suitable account, we may send a cheque to the address we have for you. Cashback earned across two debit cards in a month may show separately on your statement. The statement description may vary if this happens.
    • We use the Merchant Category Code (MCC) set by each business to analyse transactions. Sometimes, this means certain purchases won’t qualify for cashback. We can’t change these codes.

    • We’re not responsible for any loss, cost or charge you incur if this cashback offer is unavailable or affected by an issue that is beyond our reasonable control. 
    • Cashback will not be paid if we reasonably believe that you have broken this agreement or you have tried to gain a cashback offer payment by fraudulent or other illegal means. 
    • We reserve the right to change or modify this offer at any time. If we do make a change, we’ll write to you and tell at least 60 days before the change is made.
  • You can earn credit interest on balances up to £5,000 in your Lloyds Premier account.

    Earn variable credit interest paid monthly on any money you have in your Lloyds Premier account between £1 and £5,000.

    • 1.50% AER (1.49% gross p.a.) variable credit interest on balances between £1 and £3,999.99
    • 3.00% AER (2.96% gross p.a.) variable credit interest on any part of the balance between £4,000 and £5,000
    • You won’t earn interest on any part of your balance over £5,000

    To earn interest, you must pay two different direct debits from your Lloyds Premier account every calendar month. If you don’t, you won’t get any interest for that month.

  • Wherever you are, we won’t charge you for using your debit card. This includes:

    • making payments in a foreign currency
    • taking out money in any currency from a cash machine at home or abroad
    • taking out money over the counter abroad.

    If you’re abroad, and choose to pay for something in pounds sterling, the provider of the currency conversion may still charge you.

  • As a Premier customer you can choose a different Lifestyle Benefit every year. There are four benefits available, each to suit different tastes:

An arranged overdraft can act as a short-term safety net – a helping hand to deal with the unexpected. You can use it to borrow money up to an agreed limit through your bank account. And you’ll only be charged for the amount you use.

All overdrafts are subject to our assessment of your circumstances, and are repayable on demand.

  • Arranged overdraft information

     

    An arranged overdraft can act as a short term safety net. You can use it to borrow money up to an agreed limit through your bank account.

    • You can apply to add an arranged overdraft to your account and you’ll only pay daily arranged overdraft interest if you use it.
    • If you use your arranged overdraft but pay it back before the end of the day, then you won’t pay any arranged overdraft interest for that day.

    Applying for an arranged overdraft - When you have applied for this account, at the end of the application you can apply for an arranged overdraft which you can add right away. You can also apply for one later.

    Amending an arranged overdraft - You can reduce or remove your arranged overdraft at any time through mobile banking, online banking or telephone banking or by visiting your branch. But you must repay anything you owe if you want to remove an arranged overdraft or anything over the new reduced limit you want. You can also apply to increase it. Using an arranged overdraft increases your overall borrowing and may affect your credit score.

    If you don't have enough money in your account or available arranged overdraft to make a payment, we may either let you borrow through an unarranged overdraft or refuse to make the payment. Missing payments and using an unarranged overdraft can damage your credit score, get in touch with us as we may be able to help you.

    Applying for this product does not improve your eligibility for an arranged overdraft.

  • Can I register for the Bupa Family GP and Wellbeing subscription if I already have a Bupa subscription or Bupa Private Medical plan?

    If you already have a Bupa private medical plan or a Bupa health subscription with a remote digital GP - paid for by yourself, your partner or made available by an employer – you may have access to some of Bupa’s digital healthcare services already. If this is the case, you cannot register as you already have the remote digital GP service, but your partner and children may still be able to benefit.  

    If you don’t have a remote digital GP service with your Bupa private medical plan or Bupa Health subscription, you can register with your Lloyds Premier Bank Account.

    As you go through the Bupa registration process, you’ll be advised on what you need to do next to get access to the remote GP service.  This may include:

    • If you have access to a Bupa subscription already, but your partner or children aged between 16-24 don't, your partner and children can register for the Bupa Family GP and Wellbeing subscription.
    • If your partner doesn’t have a Bupa Subscription, they can register then add the children under 16 to the subscription.
    • If you are paying for a Bupa GP Subscription, you can cancel this subscription and switch to the Lloyds Premier bank account product without any penalty or notice period.

    Anyone over the age of 16 can register for a Bupa account and setup the subscription in the same household as the eligible Lloyds Premier bank account customer.

    How the subscription works:

    • You are eligible to use the subscription for as long as you have a Lloyds Premier account. 
    • Your subscription becomes active once you register with Bupa. 
    • Some services included in the subscription have annual limits. These will reset every 12 months on the anniversary of your registration with Bupa. 

    How do I activate my Bupa Family GP and Wellbeing subscription?

    You’ll need a smartphone which is compatible with the My Bupa app to access and use the Bupa remote subscription services (Android: is available from Version 12 (Snow Cone) onwards. iOS: Versions from 15.x onwards).

    If you don’t have a compatible smartphone, the Bupa Family GP and Wellbeing subscription isn’t suitable for you.

    How to register:

    • You will receive a registration e-mail when you open your Lloyds Premier account. 
    • Select the link in the e-mail and follow the instructions to registration you and your family.
    • Once you’ve registered, you will receive information from Bupa on how to use the full range of remote services with the My Bupa app. This can take up to 24 hours. 
    • You will need the last 4 digits of your Lloyds Premier account to validate your subscription.

    We recommend you register your Bupa Family GP and Wellbeing subscription as soon as you can after opening your Lloyds Premier account, this will make sure that the remote services are there when you need them. You can add you partner and any children. Add their details when you first register so they can make the most of everything available to them without delay. If you choose to do this later, you’ll need to contact Bupa.

    What do I do if I do not receive the email with the subscription link?

    If you haven’t received your email, check your spam folder. If the email is not in the spam folder, contact the Lloyds Premier Helpline on 0345 878 0015 (int/local 0113 292 0245), and select option 3, they will be able to assist you.

    What do I do if I cannot remember my Bupa subscription email address or password or are experiencing technical problems associated with Bupa?

    Contact the Lloyds Premier Helpline on 0345 878 0015 (int/local 0113 292 0245) and select option 2. 

    Will I still have access to Bupa Family GP and Wellbeing if I cancel my Lloyds Premier account?

    No, from the date you close your Bank account your access to this service will be revoked and you will no longer be able to access the services.

    Our payments are quick and secure, and we keep things simple. You can also pay a cheque of up to £10,000 into your account by simply taking a photo of your cheque and uploading to the mobile banking app. There is a maximum daily limit of £10,000 per day.

    You can withdraw up to £800 a day from a Lloyds Cashpoint® or other cash machines.

    Save the Change® makes saving easy. When you buy something with your Lloyds debit card (and your account is in credit), we’ll round up the amount to the nearest pound and transfer the difference into an eligible Lloyds savings account.

     

  • Switch your current account to us in just 7 working days, using our stress-free process

    Whether you want to move to Lloyds or you already bank with us, switching is easy. Our team will do everything to make sure your switch runs smoothly, including transferring all your Direct Debits and standing orders to your new account.

    You'll be able to switch your account to us at the end of your online application.

    Here's how the process works

    • Working day 1
      The switching begins. We make contact with your old bank to arrange the switch.
    • Working day 2
      We’ll let you know your old bank has received your request. We then start transferring your payments to your new Lloyds account.
    • Working day 3-5
      It will take a couple of days to switch over your payment arrangements, and make sure your Lloyds account is ready to go for the switch date.
    • Working day 6
      If you’re clearing a debit balance at your old account, you’ll need to make sure there are enough funds in your Lloyds account to cover the transfer.
    • Working day 7
      Congratulations, your switch is complete. Your balance is transferred and your old account is closed.

      We'll arrange for payments accidentally made to your old account to be automatically redirected to your new account. We'll also contact the sender and give them your new account details.

    We have designed the Current Account Switch Service to let you switch your current account from one bank or building society to another in a simple, reliable and stress-free way. It will only take seven working days. As your new current account provider we offer the following guarantee.

    The service is free to use and you can choose and agree your switch date with us.

    We'll take care of moving all your payments going out (for example, your Direct Debits and standing orders) and those coming in (for example, your salary).

    If you have money in your old account, we'll transfer it to your new account on your switch date.

    We'll arrange for payments accidentally made to your old account to be automatically redirected to your new account. We'll also contact the sender and give them your new account details.

    If there are any issues in making the switch, we'll contact you before your switch date.
