Midata

What is midata?

When you bank, shop or pay a bill, the information forms a picture of your spending habits. We call this your midata.

You can save the midata for your account as a file. You can then use it, for example to choose new products and services. A midata file shows the last 12 months of your account history. It does not show any personal details like your name, address or date of birth.

What can you do with midata?

You can share your midata file with financial comparison websites if you are choosing a new account. They can use this to make better recommendations to you and help you make more informed decisions.

Is it safe to share my data?

You should take the same care as you would with any personal details online. Make sure that your antivirus software is kept up to date. Always check that any third-party websites are genuine. Avoid using midata files on shared or public computers.
