As a Private Banking client, you can expect a more personal service when it comes to your day-to-day banking. Your Private Banking and Advice Manager will work with you to establish the most efficient and convenient way to manage your money.

You’ll have access to a range of banking and lending services. The services provided by the Private Banking and Advice Manager are complimented by Telephone, Mobile and Internet Banking, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Please note that although our lines are always open, not all Telephone Banking services are available 24 hours a day. There may be limits on payments you can make and we may not be able to start processing all payments instructed out of normal banking hours.

Our current accounts are designed to make it easy to manage your everyday finances.

We offer a variety of flexible savings accounts from instant access through to longer-term fixed and flexible deposits. Our accounts offer a range of interest rates, so you can choose the one that best suits your cash management requirements.

If you do business or travel abroad regularly you might also want to open a foreign currency account with us. This is available in most popular currencies. That way you can make and receive payments in the currency you are dealing with thereby minimising exchange rate conversions to and from sterling. If you subsequently convert these funds into sterling or another currency, then an exchange rate conversion will be required and you are likely to incur additional fees .

Our Market Link Deposits can provide the opportunity to participate in the potential market growth of a designated stockmarket or economic sector without leaving your savings fully exposed to the volatility associated with direct share ownership. There is however a risk of receiving no return.

Lending and financing

Sometimes a new opportunity or a change in your circumstances may mean that you want to access additional funds.

With the support of our dedicated specialist lending team, we can offer flexible finance options from overdrafts and loans through to specialised finance. Our lending specialists will take the time to understand your requirements and your specific circumstances. They will then discuss which of our finance options might suit you.

We offer a variety of financing options, which include:

  • personalised credit lines for short-term expenses such as school fees or tax bills
  • access to mortgages for UK property
  • property development finance, including staggered lending for clients looking to build their own home in the UK
  • short and long-term loans secured against UK property or other assets
  • bridging finance – for example, if you downsize your home and want to buy before you have sold

Lending is subject to our responsible lending criteria. How much we lend, the period and rate available are subject to our assessment of your circumstances. Specific eligibility criteria and conditions apply for certain types of lending. You must be 18 or over and a UK resident to apply. Lending is subject to status and application. Security may be required. Overdrafts are repayable in full on demand. Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.
