What did Adam do?

We know planning for retirement is important which is why we'd like to share Adam's story with you..

"As someone who lives a fairly comfortable life, I’ve always wondered whether I was doing enough to secure my lifestyle after I finished working. I’ve spent my entire career in the private sector too, so I’ve always had that in the back of my head – ‘If I want to keep the same lifestyle in retirement, it’s up to me to sort it out’, I always thought.

So over the past 10 years I’ve taken quite a proactive approach to planning the future I thought I’d be happy with. I’ve paid into pension schemes through my employer at a good level, and have been paying a proportion of my income into a nest egg to draw from later. There was always the nagging feeling that I could’ve been doing more, though.

So I called on Lloyds Bank to help me protect my family’s lifestyle even further. They were fantastic, and gave me the invaluable personal advice and guidance on what should be done with the income from my remaining years at work – including talking me through the pension options that may benefit me most in retirement. Looking forward, no one knows what’s going to happen in life, but at least I know what’s going on with my finances."
