What does this mean?

Your company registration number is a unique combination of numbers and letters to enable accurate identification. It Is used to identify your company and verify it’s legal existence.

You’ll find your registered company number on your certificate of incorporation or on the Companies House website.
What does this mean?

An exempt charity must be based in England and Wales but can’t register with the Charity Commission. It is not directly regulated by the Charity Commission and instead has a principal regulator. 

  • Churches and chapels belonging to some Christian denominations.
  • Charities that provide premises for some types of schools.

  • Charitable service funds of the armed forces.

You will have either a Charity Number from the Charities Commission or Scottish Charity Register (OSCR), or a Companies House Registration Number (CRN) that you will find on your certificate of incorporation or the Companies House website.
