Executor Account request

Complete this form to convert an existing qualifying account, into an Executor or Administrator's Account

Executor Account

An Executor Account will allow you to:

  • collect incoming funds (like income from investments or the sale of assets) and pay any bills, debts, and expenses related to the estate efficiently
  • hold funds before probate is granted, making you better prepared to distribute funds when the 'Grant of Probate' is complete
  • keep detailed records of all transactions to help you comply with the legal requirements for managing an estate.

Steps

  1. Open a new account from the following qualifying accounts:
Classic account (sole or joint names), Easy Saver (sole name) or Club Lloyds Advantage Saver (sole name).
  2. Complete this form to request a conversion of the account to an Executor Account.

Who should complete this form?

If you're the executor to an estate, you can complete this form if:

  • you want to act as the first signatory on the Executor Account
  • you're happy to be the registered correspondent for the account
  • you haven't opted out of being an executor during the granting of probate
  • you've opened an account that can be converted for this purpose.

Completing this form

This application is to convert an existing qualifying account, which should have been opened for this purpose. We'll ask you for these existing account details as part of this application.

This form can only be used to convert a current account held by 2 executors or a savings account held by 1 executor. We’re only able to set up executor current accounts for up to 2 people.

A named executor/administrator can decide to opt out if they don't want to be named as an account holder. There must be at least one named executor/administrator on the account.

Executor Account request form

You won't need to complete this form.

If you haven't already, get in touch as soon as possible so we can assume our legal responsibilities.

If you're converting to an Executor account that needs more than one name, make sure you’ve opened a joint current account.
