  • Correspondent and recipient bank charges may apply
  • The amount received will vary as the exchange rate fluctuates constantly
  • Penalties may apply, dependent on account withdrawal restrictions
  • A standard Foreign Exchange margin is applied to the booked rate so the rate you receive may be different to the booked rate
  • Lloyds Bank do not charge for Foreign Exchange services, however some Recipient and Corresponding banks may charge a fee for receiving payments
  • What is a Regular Currency Plan?

    • An efficient way of making regular currency exchange transfers, so you don’t need to worry about calling or making the payment online every time.
    • If you need to make regular transfers at a set period of time, arrange a regular Foreign Exchange payment plan.

    What is it good for?

    • Making overseas mortgage payments
    • Paying a currency salary back to the UK
    • Transfers for living expenses back to the UK
    • Payments to overseas relatives or relatives back in the UK

    How it works

    • You need to have a current or savings account with us to use this service
    • Decide how much you want to exchange, the start and end date for the transfers, and how often they need to be made
    • You can use a Regular Currency Plan for making international payments or internal transfers between your own accounts
    • Penalties may apply, dependent on account withdrawal restrictions. Charges may apply from receiving banks
    • You should be aware of the potential risk of rates changing where payments involve moving money from one currency to another and the exchange rate has not been booked. Changes in rates of exchange may occur and cause the value of the payment to go up or down
  • Transfer Charges

    There is no charge for making or receiving international payments. However, correspondent and recipient bank charges may apply.

    Transfers from your international accounts to your other accounts with Lloyds Banking Group are free of charge.

    Foreign Exchange Charges

    There are no foreign exchange charges for our Regular Currency Plan service.

    There may be limits on payments you can make and we may not be able to start processing all payments instructed out of normal banking hours.   • Online via Currency Internet Banking

    You can make Spot Foreign Exchange money transfers online via our Currency Internet Banking service. This service is available for the following international accounts:

    • International current account in Euro and US Dollar (current accounts in Sterling are excluded).
    • Savings accounts in all currencies (Bonus Saver and Incentive Saver). Penalties may apply when making currency transfers, depending on account withdrawal restrictions.

    We don’t charge for Spot Foreign Exchange transfers but recipient and corresponding banks may charge a fee for receiving payments.
