Good things are happening in British business
Find out how some of our customers have evolved their businesses in innovative ways.
With our Electronic Business Tariff you'll be charged per transaction. If you regularly make transactions electronically – at ATMs, through internet banking or using automated payment tools like Faster Payments – the Electronic Business Tariff could work for you.
Read through the tables below to see how you will be charged under our Electronic Business Tariff. Keep in mind that our charging cycle runs from the 10th of the month to the 9th of the following month. Credit interest is not paid as standard on our Electronic Business Tariff.
To see which tariff makes the most sense for your business compare our tariffs side by side.

The first time you go overdrawn or exceed your agreed limit with us by £50 or more, you may be charged an Unauthorised Borrowing Fee (UBF) of £15. After that, the UBF is applied every time you increase your unauthorised borrowing by £50 or more from the previous day's closing balance, unless a higher limit is agreed with us or until the account is within its existing limit or in credit.
We charge £25 each time we have to return a cheque unpaid or there is insufficient money in your account to pay a standing order or direct debit.
Payments made through an Islamic Business Account are processed in different ways. Visit our page on Islamic Business Account charges for more information.
Credit interest is not paid as standard on our Business Extra Tariff, and your money will continue to be managed in accordance with Shariah law.
†The owner of the machine may also charge you for this transaction. All LINK machines will give you an on-screen warning, in advance, allowing you to continue or cancel the transaction.
‡You will be charged an item fee for each individual payment that you make within a Bulk Payment batch. In addition you will also be charged for the debit made to your account for the total amount of the Bulk Payment batch – charged at the rate of a UK Sterling Direct Debit. For example, a batch of 10 payments will incur a charge of 10 x 20p for the individual payments on Business Extra, as well as 1 x 40p for the UK Sterling Direct Debit to the account. This makes a total of 11 individual charges.
*For SEPA Direct Debit please see the Commercial Banking International Service Tariff brochure.
**This includes the use of debit cards to withdraw cash over branch counters and where a bank giro credit is paid using either a debit card or a cheque drawn on your account and processed as cleared funds.
