    How to post your cheque

    • Place your cheque in a stamped envelope and post it to:

      LBG Processing
      PO Box 13664
      Harlow
      CM20 9XF
    • Customers are responsible for using the correct postage when sending cheques.
    • Cheques can be sent by standard post or by tracked post. We recommend using tracked post for extra security.
    • If the postage is incorrect or insufficient, Royal Mail may not deliver the cheque and it won’t be deposited.
    • Once we receive your cheque, the money should reach your account within two working days.
    • If there are postal delays, it may take longer for the funds to become available.

If you regularly process multiple cheques, please check our Cash and Cheques page to find out if Bulk Cheque Processing Service may better meet your needs.

  • There are two limits for cheque deposits in the app.

    • Single cheque limit: £20,000
    • Daily total: £20,000
  • It’s a way to pay in cheques using your mobile device. The app uses your device camera to capture images of the cheque and reads the details to pay the money into your account. It’s simple, convenient and secure – and can save you a trip to a branch.

  • Money will normally be available in your account at the end of the next working day. So, if you deposit a cheque before 10pm on a normal weekday, that’s classed as the first working day. Your money will be available by the end of the following working day.

  • You can deposit most types of cheque accepted by UK banks and in pounds sterling. This includes UK Government Payable Orders, postal orders, banker’s drafts and building society cheques.

However, it does not include traveller’s cheques, bank giro credits and various non-standard cheques. If we don’t accept a particular type of cheque, the app will tell you when you try to take the image.

  • You can view cheques paid in previously in the ‘History’ tab.

  • If your cheque is rejected, don't try to pay it in again using the app. You can see the reason for rejection in the ‘Cheques’ section under ‘History’.
