Overcoming persistent barriers such as improving energy efficiency and enhancing customer wellbeing in the real estate industry is one of the biggest challenges facing the UK’s transition to net zero. This pilot explores how embracing intelligent real-time performance data has the potential to unlock smarter retrofit strategies with real impact for people, homes, and communities as well as the bottom line.
To explore this hypothesis, we sponsored a pilot using actual performance data to drive intelligent retrofit decisions in partnership with The Good Economy, drawing on real-time data from start-up Senze’s sensors in Bromford Flagship’s social homes.
The study provides insight into the benefits of using actual, rather than design-modelled, data to create a retrofit programme and explores the financial implications of this approach, as well as the competing priorities of environmental objectives and wider societal outcomes.
Birmingham City University have verified the methodology and data outcomes of the report.
The above interactive report is designed to provide insight for you and your colleagues to explore how data-driven insights could unlock better decision-making and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future.
