Due to the challenging times we’re all experiencing, we’re dealing with a much higher number of calls from customers than normal.

So that our colleagues can help customers most in need, some Telephone Banking services are temporarily unavailable. Find out more.

Credit unions play an important part in local communities, particularly in providing a springboard for people to move into mainstream banking. That's why we have designed a package of banking services specifically for community credit unions.

  • Take advantage of cash deposits credited the same day and have immediate access to all cleared funds.
  • Receive free day-to-day business banking* on all Sterling account transactions.
  • Access cheque and paying-in books – available with one or more signatories.
  • Receive monthly statements on all your accounts.

Changes to this account

We’re making some changes to our Credit Union terms and conditions from 10 May 2020. Here are the full details of the changes.

How to apply

We’ve taken the difficult decision to temporarily stop accepting new business account applications to ensure colleagues can continue to provide vital support to existing customers at this unprecedented time. This also applies to any applications that have already started.

This is undoubtedly going to cause a level of inconvenience, but please be reassured that we’ll either contact you to continue your application, or reinstate the ability to accept new account applications at the earliest opportunity. Thank you for your understanding at this time.
