Regional Director, North East

 

Steve Harris is the Regional Director and Head of SME and Mid Corporate for the North East Region. 

He leads a team of over 80 banking professionals, directly understanding and supporting businesses, that have turnover of £3m to £100m, deliver their strategies and growth aspirations.  The team provides a high quality relationship managed service through network of Area offices located in Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Middlesbrough and Newcastle and has access to a wide range of specialist services across Financing (including working capital and trade), Risk Management, Cash Management & Payments, Corporate Pensions, Vehicle fleet services and Private wealth management.

The team has specialist sector expertise in Real Estate (including development finance), Manufacturing, Healthcare,  Professional Services and Technology.  

Steve has over 25 years of extensive Commercial banking experience and has lead teams across SME, Mid Corporate and Corporate and Intuitional clients working with small family business through to large multinational corporates.  He has previously been a board member of the Leeds City Region LEP, a member of the Northern Powerhouse Investment fund advisory panel and also chaired the Y&NE School for Social Enterprise. He has a passion for supporting business especially across the North.
