Ewloe-headquartered Anwyl Homes builds high-quality houses across North Wales, Cheshire and the North West of England. Founded in 1940, over the last financial year the family-run group of companies has increased its turnover by £33m to £97m and is anticipating turnover of £121m this financial year. In the same period Anwyl Homes has increased the number of units it builds from 230 to 349 and is on target to achieve 451 new homes for the current year.
Building on success
Lloyds Bank provided an eight-figure finance package in 2017 to support Anwyl Homes' five-year expansion plan.
Since receiving the funding, the firm has built 645 new homes, completing developments across North Wales, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire.
The company will continue to expand in the coming years, most recently announcing that it's set to build 74 new homes in Sandbach, 181 new homes in Llay, North Wales, 101 new homes in Wellington, Telford, 219 homes in Handforth, Cheshire, 82 new homes in St. Helen's, Lancashire and 124 new homes in Childwall, Liverpool.
As a result of the expansion, the firm has also been able to create a number of new jobs within the local area, boosting its workforce by 25 per cent within the past two years.
Mathew Anwyl, Housing Managing Director at Anwyl Homes, said: “We've been developing homes for more than 80 years, creating a range of properties that are exactly suited to the needs of our customers.
"The company is experiencing an exciting period of growth, and we're on track to hit our turnover target of £121m within the next 6 months."
Seven decades of support
Lloyds Bank has worked with Anwyl Homes for more than 70 years, providing the firm with the funding and working capital support it's needed to expand.
