Strategic Debt Finance (SDF) is Lloyds Bank’s Leveraged Finance origination team, supporting clients on a broad range of financing solutions, including leveraged loans, mezzanine debt and high yield bonds to support acquisitions, recapitalisations and refinancings by private equity backed businesses and non-investment grade corporate borrowers.

Our vision is to be the lender of choice for all event-driven and complex debt financings, utilising our significant expertise in structuring financings to offer the best solutions to clients.

SDF has circa 30 originators covering the UK with offices in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh enabling us to represent businesses up and down the country. The team is supported by a dedicated portfolio team providing best-in-class client management and a broad range of market insight, trends and analysis across multiple sectors.

The SDF Mid Market team specialises in balance sheet led solutions focussed on senior debt, while the SDF Large Cap team is an active arranger and underwriter of debt capital in high yield markets; both operate across all industries.
