Capital Structure Advisory partners with relationship managers and product experts across Lloyds Bank to deliver insight, thought leadership and execution support to some of our largest corporate clients. The focus of our work is supporting clients in defining their financial and treasury policies and optimising their capital structures, with a particular speciality in ratings advisory. We work for both new issuers securing credit ratings for the first time and businesses with existing ratings seeking management support. The team includes a number of ex-rating agency specialists, as well as extensive deal execution experience.

We help clients to consider their opportunities and diversity, and their sources of borrowing, bringing together bespoke client analysis and market insight, as well as helping them plan for refinancing opportunities. Our team of specialists can also support clients to:

  • Mitigate business and trading uncertainty and increase leverage as appropriate.
  • Review capital structure for their business if they have raised new equity.
  • Review their borrowing options and where relevant provide peer comparisons.
  • Communicate with rating agencies, to meet their criteria for both new issuers and rated issuers.
