Stop a cheque

You can request to stop a cheque using Online for Business.

If the cheque has already been cashed, we won’t be able to stop it for you. Instead, you’ll need to ask the recipient to refund you the money.

If you see the new look, use these steps

  1. Select 'More' underneath the account the cheque was issued from.
  2. Select 'Manage this account' then 'Stop a cheque'.
  3. Complete the form.
 

If you don’t see the new look, use these steps

  1. Select More Actions from the account the cheque was issued from.
  2. Select Account Services then Request to stop a cheque.
  3. Complete the form.
