Support in branch

  • If you have an appointment with us, we can make it easier for you. We can:

    • arrange an interpreter, including BSL, lip speaking or Deafblind interpreting (give us as much notice as you can so we can arrange this for you and confirm your appointment)
    • repay interpreter costs up to £200 per appointment if you bring your own professional interpreter (ask in branch about how to claim this back)
    • offer longer appointments so there is more time to talk things through
    • provide a private and quiet meeting room
    • have support workers attend appointments with you
    • give you time to take paperwork away and come back when ready
    • offer video appointments with a BSL interpreter in some cases.
  • Induction loop or voice enhancement systems are available to support hearing aids.

Signs in branch show where to find them and how to use them, including how to switch your hearing aid to the right setting.

Some branches have portable induction loops.

Assistance dogs are welcome in all our branches.

  • We support the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard scheme. If you wear one, it lets our staff know you may need extra support.

  • Use our branch finder to check opening times and accessibility services.

If there’s no branch nearby, you can use a Post Office® or Banking Hub for everyday banking.

Community Bankers may also be available in your area.
