  • changing your level of cover.

You can receive a new home insurance quote or cancel an existing policy.

We can also send you a proof of insurance letter by email or post.

If you’re moving home but want to keep your existing policy, you’ll need to call us to change the address on your policy.

Future changes

If something is going to change that might affect your policy, you’ll need to get in touch beforehand and let us know. Examples of this include:

  • building work at your property
  • your home being empty for longer than usual
  • someone living with you who doesn’t normally.

Homes for Ukraine government scheme

We support everyone who welcomes Ukrainian refugees into their home. You’ll continue to be covered under your Home Insurance and don’t need to tell us about the change in your circumstances.

Limits, terms and exclusions apply to all levels of cover.

  • It will be on any letters we’ve sent you or you can sign into Internet Banking to see it. It will always start with 3 letters (e.g. HBP123456789).

  • If you’re working from home using a computer, doing paperwork or phone calls, you don’t need to let us know. For other types of work you’re doing from home (for example, hairdressing or making things), please call us to let us know and we’ll check if you’re covered.

  • We will pay claims where your contents are lost or stolen while you're moving home as long as they're being moved within the British Isles by a professional removal firm. Your contents will also be covered while they're being stored by the firm for up to three days.

    It also covers accidental damage if you have chosen Silver or Gold cover.
