Work out your remortgage repayments

It’s quick and simple to use the remortgage calculator. Answer a few questions about your current mortgage deal and property value, then the calculator will do the rest.

  • Get a personalised remortgage rate from Lloyds.
  • Work out your monthly repayments in minutes.
  • Compare the different mortgage types and terms available.

Use the remortgage calculator to see if you could save.

Some of the things we’ll need to know include:

  • when you want to remortgage
  • how many people are applying
  • your current lender
  • the property value
  • your remaining mortgage balance
  • your preferred term
  • any extra borrowing.

How much can I remortgage my home for?

You could remortgage up to 90% of the value of your home with Lloyds.

This means you would have a loan-to-value (LTV) ratio of 90%, which could come with higher interest rates than other mortgage types.

The less you borrow when you remortgage, the lower your loan-to-value (LTV) will be. This could mean you could get a lower interest rate.

When working out how much you can remortgage your home for, we’ll consider:

  • your property value
  • existing debts
  • other affordability checks.

Let's look at the details

  • There is no limit on how many times you can remortgage during your mortgage term. For example, you might decide to remortgage every time your initial deal comes to an end to avoid moving on to your lender’s SVR.

You could also decide to remortgage during your initial term. But you may have to pay an early repayment charge to leave your deal early.

  • The remortgage calculator is useful for homeowners who are looking to switch to a new deal with a new lender.

It could help you work out your remortgage rate and repayments, which you can compare to your current deal. This makes it easy to see if you could save by remortgaging.

  • Getting your home valued can be a smart step, especially if you want to apply to borrow more. When you remortgage, you’ll be asked how much your property is worth. If you know this in advance, it could give you a better estimate of how much your monthly repayment could be. We’ll do our own lender valuation as part of the remortgage application process.

  • No, using the remortgage calculator will not affect your credit score. This tool is just to give you an idea of our current rates and deals. If you apply for an agreement in principle, we’ll do a soft credit check and a full credit search if you apply for a mortgage.
