Pet Insurance cover comparison
Lloyds Pet Insurance comes with 3 levels of cover; Bronze, Silver and Gold for both Cats and Dogs. The following section provides a breakdown of each level of cover and the limits that apply. Your quote or policy schedule will show the cover you have chosen, the benefit level and amount you'll need to pay if you make a claim.
Lifetime Cover
Lifetime cover is an insurance policy that provides cover for your pet’s entire life (if you continue to renew the policy and pay the renewal premium). This type of insurance offers continuous cover for veterinary expenses, including illness, injury, and preventive care.
All cover levels also include:
- complementary treatment of up to £2,000
- up to 20 sessions of hydrotherapy for each illness or injury
- up to £750 in total for each illness or injury for behavioural treatment
- vet fee limits for dentistry provided teeth and gums checked
- up to £750 for each separate illness or injury for platelet rich plasma therapy
- 50% of costs up to total of £250 for each illness toward a clinical diet
- up to £150 towards the cost of cremation
- up to £300 travel and accommodation
- up to £1,000 (including £250 for a reward) if your pet goes missing.
Third-Party Liability Cover – Dog Insurance policies only
Cover for if you are found to be legally responsible for your dog accidentally causing an injury or death or damaging someone else’s property up to £2,000,000.
Optional Cover
You can choose to add extra cover for an extra cost.
Death and Loss
Cover if your pet strays or is lost or stolen or sadly dies from illness or injury.
All cover levels include:
- Death from injury - £1,500
- Death from illness - £1,500
- Loss by theft or straying - £1,500
Boarding fees and holiday cancellation costs
Cover for boarding or minding fees and holiday cancellation costs.
All cover levels include:
- Boarding facility - £1,500
- Daily minding fees - £1,500
- Holiday cancellation - £2,000
Overseas travel
Cover while you and your pet are temporarily abroad in a PETS travel scheme country, up to your full vet fee limit each year.
All cover levels also include:
- Quarantine costs - £2,000
- Repeat worming treatment (dog insurance policies only) - £250
- Loss of pet travel documents - £250
- Emergency expenses abroad - £500
Lloyds pet insurance multi-pet 5% discount terms and conditions
Eligibility
- You’ll qualify for this offer if you take out more than 1 Lloyds Pet Insurance policy.
- When multiple policies are purchased at the same time, the 5% discount will be applied to all policies from the policy start dates.
- When multiple policies are purchased at different times, the 5% discount will be applied to the original policy from renewal. Each subsequent new pet policy will receive 5% discount from the policy start date.
Multi-Pet discount terms
- You’ll receive 5% off your total annual premium for each pet policy, for all your pets insured with us.
- There is no maximum number of pets you can insure. The minimum number of pet policies to receive the discount is 2.
- The discount will be removed at renewal if you no longer hold the minimum number of 2 live policies.
- You can choose different levels of cover for each pet.
General conditions
- We may amend or withdraw this offer at any time without notice.
- Keep a copy of these conditions for future reference.
- Anyone we reasonably consider to be abusing this offer may be excluded immediately at our absolute discretion.
- These terms and conditions are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
