Lost or stolen cards

If you can't find your card, there's no need to worry. Whether it's been lost or stolen, let us know through Internet Banking or our Mobile Banking app. It's safe, secure and saves you a call.

Freeze your misplaced card

If you think you’ve temporarily forgotten where you've put your card (but you know it’s definitely not lost or been stolen) - card freeze is a useful feature.

If you can't find it, you can then report it as lost. We'll cancel the existing card and send you a new one.

How to report your card as lost or stolen

  • It's simple to report a card as lost or stolen online if you’re registered for Internet Banking.

    All you need to do is select 'help & support' at the top of your account overview page, choose "lost or stolen card", and fill out a quick form.

    We'll cancel your card straight away and you'll receive your new card in 3-5 working days, depending on the type of card you have ordered.

    Keep in mind once you've cancelled a card, it can't be reinstated.

If you don’t have our app and you have an iPhone or iPad, you can download it from the App Store.

Already reported your debit card as lost or stolen?

If you have reported your debit card as lost or stolen, you can view your new card details the next day in our app. This lets you use your new card details online whilst waiting for your new card to arrive.

If you're registered for Wallet Pay apps such as Apple Pay or Google Pay your new card details will be available to use the day after you report your card as lost or stolen.

If you're not registered, our mobile app gives you all the details you need to sign up to these services.

Credit card customers will be able to use this feature in the coming months.

Mobile Banking app: Our Mobile Banking app is available to Internet Banking customers with a UK personal account and valid registered phone number. Our app is available to iPhone and Android users only and minimum operating systems apply, so check the App Store or Google Play for details. Our app does not work on jailbroken or rooted devices. Device registration required.

Apple Pay: It is not available on all debit cards, credit cards and accounts. Restrictions include: Non-personal accounts, Visa credit cards, Electron cards, additional credit card holders and customers under 13 years of age. Available on iPhone 6/6+ and above, iPad with Touch ID and Apple Watch.

Google Pay: It is not available on all debit cards, credit cards and accounts. Restrictions include: American Express credit cards, Electron cards, Visa credit cards and additional credit card holders, non-personal accounts, Basic Bank accounts and customers under 13 years. Google Pay app must be downloaded and is available on Android devices with contactless capability (NFC), running on the Android 4.4 KitKat Operating system or newer.
