Having plans in place to repay everything you owe gives you the peace of mind that you’ll own your home when your mortgage ends.
1. Tell us your plans
If you’re confident you can repay everything, let us know. It only takes a couple of minutes to tell us your plans. Or you can call us on 0345 609 8953. Our lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturday 8am to 1pm.
2. Regularly check your plans
Even the best of plans can change over time and it’s a good idea to regularly check you’re on track to repay everything. We’ll write to you throughout your mortgage so you’ll always know how much you need to repay and when. If you’re registered for Internet Banking you can see your mortgage account balance and statements online. Your balance will also be on the statements and letters we send you. Or you can call us and ask.
3. Let us know if your plans change
If your plans change or you’re worried you can’t repay everything, let us know. We can help you understand your options and the sooner you talk to us, the more options you’ll have to consider.
We’re always here to talk to you about your mortgage, but there are other people you can talk to for independent help and advice. Here are some services that offer free, impartial support:
• Money Advice Service:
• Citizens advice:
