  • have £500 or more to save and a National Insurance number.

If you’ve already saved into a cash ISA this tax year with us, you’ll need to complete an ISA transfer. ISA rules allow you to pay into more than 1 cash ISA in each tax year, but we only let you pay into 1 cash ISA with us.

How it works

  • Open with £500 or more. Then save what you like within the first 30 days as long as it's within the ISA allowance. This is £20,000 this tax year across all your ISAs. Read more about ISA limits.
  • You can’t withdraw, but you can close the account early. It's important to note that if you close your account or transfer money to another ISA you’ll lose 90 days’ tax- free interest, so you might get back less than you originally deposited. 
  • After 1 year your account will change to an Instant Cash ISA.

    You can choose to have your interest paid annually or monthly.

  • No. This account has a fixed rate of interest so the rate won't change during the term.

  • For example, if you deposit £1,000.00 when you open the account, after 12 months you'll have a balance of £1,040.00 after interest is paid.

    This assumes:

    • interest is paid every 12 months after you open the account
    • you make your deposit on the day you open the account and you don't add more money after that
    • you don’t withdraw any money or interest.

    • by phone.

    Things to keep in mind:

    • You must be aged 18 or over, a UK resident for tax purposes and have a National Insurance number.
    • You need to deposit £500 or more within 30 days of opening the account. After the 30 days are up, you won’t be able to make any more deposits.
    • You must not have already saved in a cash ISA this tax year with us, unless you're going to complete an ISA transfer. This includes Help to Buy: ISAs and cash ISAs with other banks.
    • You need to open the account in your sole name. Cash ISAs can't be joint.
    • You can pay up to £20,000 into a combination of permitted ISAs this tax year. Read more about ISA limits.

  • You can’t withdraw money, but you can close the account early. It's important to note that if you close your account or transfer money to another ISA you’ll lose 90 days’ tax-free interest, so you might get back less than you originally deposited. 

    Any money you move into an account that isn't an ISA will lose its tax-free status. Tax treatment depends on your individual circumstances and may change in the future.

    If you change your mind, you can cancel the account free of charge within 14 days of opening.

    After 1 year, your account will change to an Instant Cash ISA. Before this happens, we’ll contact you to explain your options and next steps.

If you started a switch to a Lloyds current account from 01 Jan 2026 to 30 Apr 2026 using the Current Account Switch Service, you can unlock the cashback offer on savings.

Open an eligible savings account between 24 Feb and 31 May 2026. Deposit at least £5,000 by 31 May 2026 and keep your savings in the account beyond 31 Aug 2026.

You’ll receive up to £1,200 cashback by 30 Sep 2026 into your Lloyds current account.
