What is a Financial Coach?

Everyone is different, with unique and changing needs. That’s why it can be helpful to have someone to help you make the most of your financial situation, whether you’ve had a change in circumstance or are planning for the future.

A Financial Coach is someone by your side to point you in the right direction, answer your questions, and build your financial knowledge. They’re there to guide you towards your goals and may even help you spot opportunities you didn’t know were there.

What can I expect from my appointment?

Your financial coaching appointment is a one-to-one video or telephone call, all about you and your goals. It will be tailored to the topics that are important to you. Topics could include, but are not limited to:

  • How you could save more effectively.
  • Exploring the features and benefits of your existing accounts and products.
  • How to protect your assets and your loved ones.
  • Finding ways to make your money work harder.

How does it work?

2. Before your appointment

Think about what you want to get out of your conversation with a Financial Coach. This is great opportunity to start planning your financial goals.

3. Talk to a Financial Coach

During your appointment, your Financial Coach will support you in identifying what your next steps could be to achieve your  financial ambitions. 

4. After your appointment

Review the information provided and have follow up conversations with one of our specialists who can help you further.

When might you want to talk to a Financial Coach?

Our experienced Financial Coaches will support you in identifying what your next steps could be to achieve your goals.

Examples of when you might want to speak with a Financial Coach:

  • One or more of your savings accounts is approaching maturity or you feel your money is not working hard enough
  • Your income has increased following a promotion or a windfall
  • You’ve recently married or have a growing family
  • If you’re planning a large purchase, like a car or a house
  • You’re close to paying off your mortgage
  • You’re considering what your retirement will look like.

Our Financial Coaches are available from 9am - 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 1pm Saturday. 

Calls and online sessions may be monitored and recorded.
