What you’ll need to start

  • Device running a recent version of iOS or Android
  • Wi-Fi or 3G/4G data on your phone
  • Apple App Store or Google Play account
  • Internet Banking User ID and password
  • Up-to-date phone number registered with us

Step by step guide to setting up the app

Step 1

Download the app from the App Store or Google Play. Then open it once it’s ready.

Step 2

If you already use Internet Banking, select ‘Log on’. If not, select ‘Register’ and follow our registration guide.

Reigstering for Internet Banking

Step 3

We’ll ask for your User ID and password. Use the same details you do for Internet Banking.

Entering memorable information

Step 4

Next we’ll need 3 characters of your memorable information. The number above each box tells you which to enter.

Security Call

Step 5

Now we’ll do a quick security check to make sure it’s you. Choose a number for us to call you on.

Confirmation code

Step 6

You’ll get a 4-digit code on your screen. Then we’ll call you on the number you chose.

Step 7

When you answer the phone, we’ll ask you to read out the code or key it in using the numbers on your phone.

All done

That’s it, you’re up and running with the app.

What makes our app so secure?

Our Mobile Banking app has extra security technology built in. It keeps your details safe and private and means there are fewer ways for things to go wrong:

  • Express logon - Log on securely and quickly with your fingerprint on compatible iPhone and Android devices, and with Face ID from iPhone X. If you prefer, you can also log on with just 3 characters from your memorable information.
  • Time-out - Set how long the app waits before logging off for security, so you can flip between apps when you need to.
  • Encryption - The app keeps your banking and personal details safe on your phone, at the bank and everywhere in between.
