If you have an Under 19’s or Private Bank account, your limits may vary.
If you need to make a payment for a very large amount, you might want to send it by CHAPS. This has a fee and can only be done in a branch.
You can do this using the mobile app or online banking.
You can set any limit for your account up to the product limit, for most of our accounts this is £25,000. The maximum limit you can set for your account will be shown when you update your limit.
This will be updated instantly once you’ve requested your limit change.
The limit is set for all faster payments, which includes transfers from one account to another including future dated payments, Standing Orders, and some Open Banking payments.
