Payment limits
You can check your daily limit online
- There are daily limits to the amount of money you can send from your account.
- The limit is for each account and resets at 11.59pm each day.
- Manage and view your daily limit when you make a payment in our mobile app or through online banking.
Some payments don't count towards the limit. These are transfers between your own Lloyds accounts, cheques, direct debits and CHAPS payments.
Steps to take
We'll guide you through it.

- Select the 'More' menu from your account, then 'Payments and transfers'.
- Select 'Choose who to pay'.
- Select the account you’d like to pay from the list, then select 'Manage payment limit'.
- See how much you have available to transfer and manage your payment limit by selecting ‘Change daily limit’.
- You can then set your payment limit to an amount that suits you up to your maximum product limit.
You can also change your payment limit by selecting the 'Manage payment limit' from the 3-dot menu for your account.

- Select the account you’d like to pay from the list, then select 'Manage payment limit'.
- See how much you have available to transfer and manage your payment limit by selecting ‘Change daily limit’.
- You can then set your payment limit to an amount that suits you up to your maximum product limit.

Faster Payments
Payments to another UK account will normally be sent this way.
Daily limit
Online: up to £25,000.
In a branch: up to £250,000 with valid identification.
Phone: up to £25,000.
Your limit includes payments you set up for a future date and increases to existing future payments.

If you have an Under 19’s or Private Bank account, your limits may vary.
If you need to make a payment for a very large amount, you might want to send it by CHAPS. This has a fee and can only be done in a branch.

You can do this through the app or online banking.

You can set any limit for your account up to the product limit, for most of our accounts this is £25,000. The maximum limit you can set for your account will be shown when you update your limit.

Once you’ve requested your limit change this will be updated instantly.

The limit is set for all faster payments, which includes transfers from one account to another including future dated payments, standing orders, and some open banking payments.
