Getting started

Managing your existing Lloyds Bank Credit Card is quick and easy to do. Here's everything you need to know about extra benefits you might be eligible for and information on how to manage your credit card.

Direct Debit

You control how you pay so you’ll have one less thing to sort out each month. There are 3 ways to pay:

  • Full payment – clears the total balance shown on your monthly statement
  • Minimum payment collects just the minimum payment shown on your monthly statement
  • Fixed amount or percentage – pays a fixed amount or percentage each month. We will always collect at least the minimum payment.

Simply log on to Internet Banking to set up a Direct Debit and click on the 'Pay credit card' button.

Other payment options

  • Call us - If you have a current account with us, you can call us to make a payment over the phone on 0345 606 2172.
    Lines are open Mon-Sun, 7am - 11pm.
  • Branch - You can pop into any Lloyds Bank branch with your credit card to make a cash or cheque payment.
  • Post - Post a cheque made payable to Lloyds Bank followed by your credit card number to:

    Sheffield,
    S98 1GE.

Important information:

  • Only send cheques via the post
  • Only use blue or black ink when writing cheques out
  • Allow 7 working days for the payment to reach us.

One-off payments

You can make a one-off payment online from your Lloyds Bank current account or with a debit card from another UK bank. Log on to Internet Banking and select the ‘Pay credit card’ button.

You can also make a transfer from your Lloyds account using the mobile banking app. Log on and select ‘Make a Payment’ from the menu button next to your card.

All payments will show on your statement by the next working day.

Log in or register for Internet Banking to make a payment.

  • Call 0345 606 2172 (Mon-Sun, 24 hours) to pay from a Lloyds Bank current account or with a debit card from another UK bank.

International payments

When making a payment from an overseas bank account your provider may ask you for the following details:

  • IBAN - GB38LOYD30675699067997
  • BIC/SWIFT - LOYDGB21705

Important information about payments

There are a couple of things that you need to remember when making payments:

  • however you choose to pay, you need to check that your payment will reach your account by the payment due date
  • Do not send cash in the post
  • Please remember to allow extra time for your payment to reach us over bank holiday periods.

Changing your payment due date

You can change the date of your monthly credit card payment to one that is more convenient for you.

  • Internet Banking - To change your due date online log in to Internet Banking and select the ‘more actions’ button on your credit card account, then the ‘paying your credit card’ button.
  • Call us - If you'd prefer, you can call us on 0345 606 2172. Lines are open Mon-Sun, 7am - 11pm.

Request an additional cardholder

  • You can share your credit card account and credit limit with anyone aged 18 or over, subject to application.
  • As the main cardholder, you're responsible for all spending on the card. You're also responsible for making the monthly payments.
  • You'll see all your card spending on your monthly statement. Only the main cardholder will be able to view the credit card online.
  • Should you decide to remove an additional cardholder, you will still be responsible for the card until it has been destroyed. If you cannot get the card back, please call us.

To add, remove or amend a cardholder:

  • Call us on: 0800 032 0444 or +44 2074 812 548 from outside the UK. We're available to take your call 7am - 11pm, 7 days a week.
  • Log on to Internet Banking - click on the ‘More actions’ box next to your credit card and then ‘Account services’.

Changing your credit limit

We require at least six months payment history on your account before you can request an increase of your credit limit.

You can decrease your credit limit at any time after your card has been activated.

You can apply to increase or decrease your credit limit online, simply select the ‘more actions’ button on your credit card account and then the ‘manage credit limit’ button, or you can call 0345 606 2172 (Mon-Sun, 7am - 11pm).

From time to time we may write to you offering a credit limit increase. If this happens, we will give you 30 days notice before any change will take effect. Should you wish to decline the change, call 0345 606 2172 (Mon-Sun, 7am - 11pm).

Redistributing your credit limit

You can redistribute your credit limit between your two Lloyds Credit Cards.

This means that if you have credit available (i.e. you’ve not used your entire credit limit) on one of your credit cards, you can move a proportion of it across to your other credit card. 

You can redistribute your credit limit once every six months and you can move a minimum of £100 and up to a maximum of 90% of your available credit limit. There must also be an overall credit limit of £500 left on the original card.

For example, you have 2 Lloyds credit cards, and you want to redistribute your credit limit. You move £2,250 (90%) of your available credit limit in Credit Card A to Credit Card B. This brings the new credit limit on Credit Card B to £3,250 and leaves £750 as the final credit limit on Credit Card A. Please note that depending on your cards, you may be redistributing from a low rate APR to a higher rate APR.

There are a couple of key points of which to be aware:

  • Redistributing your credit limit is different from a balance transfer. Redistributing your credit limit simply means that you can allocate your credit limit across your Lloyds credit cards. It does not pay off any outstanding balance on Credit Card B or Credit Card A as shown in the example.
  • Redistributing your credit limit is different from a credit limit increase where you can request to have a higher credit limit. Redistributing your credit limit does not increase the combined credit limit available to you.

You can only redistribute your credit limit through telephone banking. If you wish to redistribute your credit limit, please have both your Lloyds credit card details to hand and call 0345 606 2172 (7am - 11pm, 7 days a week)

Requesting a new PIN number

If you’ve forgotten your PIN, you can request a PIN reminder which will be sent through the post. You’ll receive your reminder by post in 3-5 working days.

Just select one of the following options:

  • Log on to Internet Banking - Use our replacement cards and PINs service by selecting it from the ‘More actions’ tools.
  • Use our Mobile Banking app and select the account action button ( the 3 dotted icon) for your chosen account.
  • Call us on: 0800 032 0444 or +44 2074 812 548 from outside the UK. We're available to take your call 7am - 11pm, 7 days a week.

    Please note:
    for security purposes, we can't tell you what you're PIN number is over the phone.

Personalising your PIN number

You can change your PIN at most UK cash machines.

Its easy to change your PIN to a number you already know – a memorable date, for instance. Just insert your card and using the PIN we've sent you, follow the on-screen instructions.

    Managing your credit card online

    If you already have a Lloyds Bank account, you can use Internet Banking to see your credit card balance alongside your other accounts. You can instantly make transfers to your credit card, and keep an eye on what you’re spending.

    It’s free and easy to manage your credit card online:

    • see your credit card balance as well as up to three months’ transaction history
    • manage your PIN
    • pay your credit card online
    • apply to increase or decrease your credit card limit (subject to status)
    • make balance transfers
    • add an additional cardholder
