Cancelling a standing order

  • How do I cancel a standing order using a desktop or laptop computer?

    Step 1

    You can set up a standing order to pay into another of your own accounts, or someone else's. Choose the 'More Actions' button on your account.

    Open 'Direct Debits and standing orders’.

    Choose 'Manage standing orders’.

    Step 4

    Select the 'Standing orders' tab, then the standing order you want to cancel. We call this 'deleting’ a standing order. On the next page, you can confirm the deletion.

How do I cancel a standing order using the app?

Step 1

Go to your account page and choose the '...' icon.

Step 2

Go to your account page and choose the 'More' button. Then choose ‘standing orders’.

Step 3

Select the 'Standing orders' tab, then the standing order you want to cancel. We call this 'deleting’ a standing order.

Step 4

Select 'Delete'. Note that you can't delete mortgage or loan repayments in the mobile app.

Step 5

Enter your password to confirm. If you can't delete a standing order in the mobile app, you'll need to contact us.

To use our Mobile Banking app you need to have a valid phone number registered to your account.
