Ready to apply?To qualify, you’ll need to follow these simple steps;
If you received a switching offer since April 2020 for switching to any Lloyds, Bank of Scotland or Halifax Bank account, you won't be eligible again.
Offer ends 28 July 2025. Terms & conditions apply.
To qualify for the £185 switching offer (“the offer”) you must switch to a new Club Lloyds account, Club Lloyds Platinum account, Lloyds Premier account or Club Lloyds Silver account using the ‘Current Account Switch Service’ to switch from a bank account held with another bank. The following conditions apply:
You can’t take part in the offer if:
When will I receive the £185 offer?
We’ll pay it into your account within 10 working days of the switch and will appear as a cash credit.
As an existing Lloyds customer, do I qualify for the £185 offer?
Yes, as long as you open a new qualifying account named in the terms and conditions and you haven’t received a switching incentive from us, Bank of Scotland or Halifax since April 2020. You must complete your switch using the Current Account Switch Service to switch a bank account held elsewhere with at least 3 active direct debits.
Can I change my existing account to one of the qualifying accounts and still receive the offer?
No, you must open a new qualifying account.
To qualify for the offer, do I need to complete the switch at the time of opening my new bank account?
No, as long as you start your switch by the 28 July 2025, you can complete your switch through online banking or on the mobile app.
As part of your application you will be asked if you want to switch before you choose your new account, so have your existing account details to hand.
What’s a direct debit?
It’s a way to pay bills automatically from your current account. You give a business permission to collect money from your account when a payment is due. Direct debit amounts can vary, but the business has to tell you if the amount is changing. Direct debits are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
What is an active direct debit
An active direct debit is one that has been paid to the originator in the last 13 months. This can be any frequency of payment: weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual. If the direct debit has been recently set up and the first payment has not been taken this is not an active direct debit.
What types of payments qualify as direct debits?
Your switch must include the transfer of at least 3 active direct debits from your old account. Direct debits set up after you’ve started your switch won’t count towards the offer. Standing orders and subscriptions are also excluded.
Can I switch a joint account?
Yes. To open a joint account online, both parties must log in to the mobile banking app or online banking. Otherwise, you can open a new Club Lloyds account in one person's name and then book an appointment with your local branch to add the other person. Please note that Lloyds Premier accounts can only be opened in a single name. Also, if either person has already received a switching offer from Lloyds, Halifax, or Bank of Scotland since April 2020, you won't be eligible for the offer.
As a Club Lloyds customer you can choose a different Lifestyle Benefit every year per account. There are four benefits available, each to suit different tastes:

If you do not earn the credit interest, you won't receive payment the following calendar month.
Yes, if in any month you do not receive the credit interest, you can still earn interest in future months. Just make sure you pay out two separate Direct Debits in the next calendar month.
No, there is no requirement on this account to pay out two separate Direct Debits each month. You only have to pay out two separate Direct Debits each month to earn the credit interest on balances between £1 - £5,000.
When will the £5 monthly fee be refunded?
You'll need to pay at least £2,000 into your Club Lloyds account each calendar month to have the following month's fee refunded.
What deposits qualifies towards the £2,000?
All deposits including cash, cheques, Bacs, Faster Payments and instant transfers in. This includes salaries, pensions and benefits paid in by these methods. Money refunded into your account does not count as a deposit.
Do I need to pay the £2,000 in one deposit?
No, we take the total of all deposits you made in the calendar month. For example, you could pay four separate £500 deposits totalling £2,000 for the month.
Do I need to keep the money in the account?
No, as long as the money is registered into your account, it will count towards the £2,000 requirement to waive the fee. Use any money paid as normal to pay bills, spend or transferred into another account.
An arranged overdraft can act as a short term safety net. You can use it to borrow money up to an agreed limit through your bank account.
Helpful tools - You can use our eligibility checker and cost calculator to check your eligibility and calculate the cost of an arranged overdraft.
Applying for an arranged overdraft - When you have applied for this account, at the end of the application you can apply for an arranged overdraft which you can add right away. You can also apply for one later.
Amending an arranged overdraft - You can reduce or remove your arranged overdraft at any time through Mobile Banking, Internet Banking or Telephone Banking or by visiting your branch. But you must repay anything you owe if you want to remove an arranged overdraft or anything over the new reduced limit you want. You can also apply to increase it. Using an arranged overdraft increases your overall borrowing and may affect your credit score.
If you don't have enough money in your account or available arranged overdraft to make a payment, we may either let you borrow through an unarranged overdraft or refuse to make the payment. Missing payments and using an unarranged overdraft can damage your credit score, please get in touch with us as we may be able to help you.
Applying for this product does not improve your eligibility for an arranged overdraft.
